๐ฆด Young Union Soldier Found After 160+ Years ๐บ๐ธ
The remains of a young Union soldier were unearthed during excavations at Manassas National Battlefield Park in March 2024. Archaeologists found him near a site linked to the August 1862 Second Battle of Manassas in Virginia. Analysis placed the soldier's age between 16 and 19, and the dig also revealed four amputated limbs. This discovery provides rare insight into battlefield medicine from the Civil War era. The soldier is scheduled to be buried at Arlington National Cemetery on August 13, 2026.
