ποΈ Wyoming ranch sold to park, then handed over for good
In 1967, Emily Frew Oliver sold the 4 Lazy F Ranch to Grand Teton National Park, while retaining a life estate. This transfer involved the historic property located near the park headquarters in Moose, Wyoming. The ranch, originally started by Bryant Mears, operated as a dude ranch from 1950 until the 1990s. Emily Oliver eventually gave up her life estate in 2006, officially ending the family's 79-year stewardship. Currently, the National Park Service is assessing future uses for the vacant but historic ranch.
