π£οΈ Why public intellectuals matter in modern India
Public intellectuals are individuals who engage with current affairs and advocate for what they believe is right. They question social, political, and economic issues using reasoned arguments for societal improvement. Their role is critical in challenging growing authoritarian tendencies within present-day India. Despite a rich tradition of such thinkers, there is currently a noticeable silence from many academics and scientists. These voices are needed to question issues like the weaponization of Hinduism and fake history.
