โค๏ธ Welsh girl's organ donation gives new life
Eighteen-year-old Menna Owen died after a seizure-triggered cardiac arrest in Tonteg, Pontypridd, Wales. Her heart and lungs were successfully donated to two young patients who are doing well a year later. This story comes as UK family consent rates for donation dropped from 69 percent to 57 percent. Health authorities launched the "One in a Million" campaign to boost registrations to 30 million by early 2027. Knowing a person's wishes makes the difficult donation decision much easier for grieving families. ๐
