health 🩺 Weekend lie-ins might actually be good for your health
Experts previously warned against weekend lie-ins as they disrupt the body’s internal clock and cause health issues. A new study suggests that moderate catch-up sleep, around 1 hour 27 minutes extra, could actually lower the odds of high blood pressure. This research, presented in Munich, looked at 40,000 adults in South Korea over seven years. The findings indicate that a small amount of extra sleep helps the body recover from weekly sleep deprivation. However, sleeping excessively, over four hours extra, still poses greater risks to hypertension. 😴
