π WB fast-tracks land for Doklam-area rail link π
The West Bengal government has approved fast-tracking the land acquisition for a new railway line. This project aims to boost connectivity near the India-China-Bhutan tri-junction area. Around 380 hectares of land are being acquired for the 20-km Chalsa-Naxak line project. The work was previously stalled since September 2019 due to state government non-cooperation. Railways and the forest department will conduct a joint survey after the monsoon.
