๐ฌ Waste rock mix gets a glow-up with phosphogypsum
Researchers studied the mechanical behavior of backfill made from waste rock and phosphogypsum. The study was conducted by multiple authors at Wuhan University of Technology and other institutes. Slurry mixtures showed favorable transport at 78% mass concentration, as per tests on September 1, 2026. Phosphogypsum addition improved workability but reduced strength significantly for both aggregate types. Future work will build on these findings to optimize backfill design ranges.
