🦟 Vector infections spike in Mumbai during August
Vector-borne infections are rising across Mumbai this August. Malaria cases jumped from 1,380 in July to 1,797, while dengue went up from 466 to 613, and leptospirosis increased from 78 to 111. Key hotspots for malaria are identified in E, K-West, G-South, F-South, and H-West Wards. The BMC launched the 'Aarogya Sathi' initiative at 4,075 construction sites. This campaign aims to train 20,000 to 30,000 workers on preventing mosquito breeding and recognizing symptoms. 🦟
