The U.S. Navy unveiled the new AIM-424 Malice, an ultra-long-range air-to-air missile for F-35C and Super Hornet jets. This weapon was showcased on August 22, appearing mounted on Navy carrier aircraft like the F-35C Lightning II. It boasts a range exceeding 463 kilometers, and Raytheon is the developer of this 4.11-meter missile. This capability could put U.S. naval airpower beyond the reach of certain Chinese threats. Testing for the AIM-424 is reportedly set to commence in the winter of 2026.
