tech 🚨 Unisoc exploit gives kernel access via video call
Security researchers found a two-stage exploit chain allowing full Android kernel access on Unisoc devices. This vulnerability was discovered by SSD Secure Disclosure targeting devices with Unisoc modem firmware. The exploit chain was disclosed on August 17, 2026, building on a March 2026 remote code execution flaw. The risk exists because of shared physical memory between the modem and application processors. Device owners currently have no patch and must await a manufacturer firmware update. 📱
