Two senior IPS officers, A. Arun and N. Kannan, were removed from their posts on Thursday, September 24, 2026. A. Arun was the ADGP of the Tamil Nadu Police Academy, and N. Kannan was the Commissioner of Police, Coimbatore. The removal follows a complaint about Veeramani's predatory sexual behaviour targeting minor girls. A Scheduled Caste leader had complained to Kannan as early as November 2024. DGP (Training) Rajeev Kumar will take over the Police Academy charge.
