Tamil Nadu government is introducing a Peri-Menopausal Care Policy to help identify women's health needs early. This initiative, announced by Health Minister K.G. Arunraj in the Legislative Assembly, aims to provide screening and treatment services. The state is also providing free insulin for children under 18 with type 1 diabetes, allocating βΉ9.94 crore for this. Furthermore, 4.5 lakh newborns in government hospitals will undergo screening for seven rare genetic diseases. These wide-ranging health measures are set to significantly boost maternal and child healthcare infrastructure across the state. πΆ
