india πΎ TN Budget 2026 targets man-wildlife conflict
The Tamil Nadu Government proposed a scheme to scientifically reduce man-wildlife conflict, which affects farmers in areas like Tirunelveli and Tenkasi. This plan targets 100 conflict-prone villages across several districts, backed by a βΉ20 crore allocation. The mitigation measures include solar and steel wire fencing, community protection, and GPS-enabled patrols. Farmers strongly support this, especially the need for solar fences along the 140 Km stretch. This aims to bring relief from attacks and crop damage faced by local agricultural communities. πΏ
