science ๐บ๏ธ The hidden continent Zealandia is real
A massive submerged landmass called Zealandia has been recognized as a continent by geologists. This feature is located beneath the waters around New Zealand and New Caledonia. Its estimated area is about 4.9 million square kilometres, with nearly 94 per cent being under the sea. The classification came from decades of geological evidence, not a sudden discovery. Researchers continue to study its structure as it sits on active tectonic boundaries. ๐
