π¬ Teen solves decades-old geometry problem for cash
A 17-year-old student, Connor Hill, won $250,000 at the 2026 Regeneron Science Talent Search. He achieved this while studying in Port Matilda, Pennsylvania, by using a custom computer algorithm. His research identified exactly 146 isolated examples of noble polyhedra alongside two infinite families. Mathematicians had been trying to complete this classification for years, but it remained uncertain. Hill plans to continue his studies in computational mathematics at MIT this autumn. π§
