Rajendra Dawadi, a teacher, ordered the evacuation of his school when warned of a massive flood in Nepal. He was at Tribhuvan Trishuli Secondary School in Nuwakot district when the alert came in around 9:20 am on Wednesday. The flood was triggered by ice and rock falling from Langtang Lirung peak, causing devastation across Nepal and Tibet. Despite the school and structures being destroyed, all 1,643 children managed to survive the deadly flash floods. Rescue efforts are ongoing, with international teams assisting Nepal in the disaster zone.
