π Tea break saves pilgrims from Nepal flood disaster
Twenty-eight pilgrims from Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Karnataka returned safely after narrowly escaping devastating flash floods in Nepal. The group, undertaking the Kailash Mansarovar yatra, had a crucial tea break and a 10-minute delay that saved their lives. Another pilgrim noted that a three-day visa delay inadvertently prevented them from crossing a washed-away bridge near Syabrubesi. Witnesses described horrific scenes of buses being swept away by the floodwaters near Kathmandu. Officials confirmed that others are being coordinated for safe return flights from Kathmandu to New Delhi on Sep 1.
