business π Tata Motors profit drops 80% despite revenue hike
Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles reported a significant 80.3% slump in consolidated net profit for Q1FY27. This result was recorded in the first quarter for fiscal 2026-27, as per an exchange filing on Thursday. Revenue managed to rise by 9.3% to Rs 95,799 crore from Rs 87,677 crore last year. The decline was partly due to supply constraints impacting Jaguar Land Rover volumes and rising commodity costs. The company is focused on driving revenue growth while planning to launch four new battery electric vehicles soon. π
