๐ผ Tata Group Pushes for Chandrasekaran's 5-Year Extension
Tata Sons' Nomination and Remuneration Committee (NRC) unanimously urged N Chandrasekaran to reconsider his decision not to seek reappointment. This move happened in Mumbai after the NRC met on September 3, considering his August 12 letter regarding his tenure. The committee recommended a fresh five-year term for him, which predated the RBI's September 11 directive. Tata Sons stated that retaining him serves the "larger interests" of the Tata group. If shareholders ratify this, Chandra will remain leading until 2032.
