πΌ Tata execs briefed govt on group rifts before big exits
Tata Group executives Noel Tata and N Chandrasekaran met with senior government officials separately regarding internal disagreements. These discussions covered strategy differences, governance issues, and losses in Air India and Tata digital. Chandrasekaran announced on August 12 that he will not seek reappointment as Chairman, ending his tenure in February next year. Tata Trusts, which holds over 66% of Tata Sons, has initiated a process to find a new Chairman. The Trust has passed a resolution to set up a selection committee for the new leadership.
