business 📈 Tamil Nadu revenue expected to climb due to central funds
Tamil Nadu's total revenue receipts estimate has been revised upwards by ₹5,452 crore. This change was presented by Finance Minister N. Marie Wilson in Chennai during the maiden budget speech of the TVK-led coalition. The new TRR figure is calculated at ₹3,50,027 crore, up from the initial ₹3,44,575 crore. This increase reflects the state's participation in the Viksit Bharat-Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission (VB G RAM-G). The government also plans extra resource mobilization, expecting about ₹15,000 crore from new measures.
