๐๏ธ Tamil Nadu aims to clean up Chennai's rivers
The Tamil Nadu government has announced an ambitious plan to restore the Cooum and Adyar rivers in Chennai. Finance Minister N. Marie Wilson presented this vision during the maiden budget of the TVK-led government. The government plans to invite global tenders to transform these rivers into landmarks, aiming for boat rides. Additionally, the Cauvery-Vaigai-Gundar river linking project will start this year with โน150 crore allocation. The โน3,108-crore Ring Main Pipeline project is also moving forward to ensure water supply by 2030-31. ๐๏ธ
