health ๐โโ๏ธ Stroller running might be safer for new parents' knees
A new study suggests that running with a stroller may lower overuse injury rates for new parents. Researchers at Penn State Berks found this while analyzing data from parents of children aged 0 to 3. Among 196 stroller runners and 53 non-stroller runners, stroller runners had a 55% lower injury rate per 1,000 miles. The added weight lessens vertical loading, which can relieve stress on weight-bearing joints like the knees. The team plans to further investigate the motivational factors behind this running choice. ๐โโ๏ธ
