tech ๐ฎ Sony is paying out $7.85M in PS store credit
Sony is offering a $7.85 million settlement payout to eligible PlayStation customers in the US. The class-action lawsuit alleged Sony monopolized the digital game market by stopping sales of vouchers to other retailers. The settlement, which was initially rejected in July 2025, is being re-approved following a process restart in April. Affected individuals who bought eligible games between April 1, 2019, and Dec. 31, 2023, will receive compensation. The final hearing is set for Oct. 15 to confirm the amount before distribution.
