science 🔬 Smart cancer drug targets tumors, protects healthy cells
Indian scientists have developed a new smart cancer drug candidate designed to activate mainly inside cancerous cells. This research was led by Dr Asis Bala from IASST and Dr K.P. Bhabak from IIT Guwahati. The new approach uses biological differences between cancerous and healthy cells as a trigger for drug activation. This offers a potentially more targeted way to fight cancer treatment. The development aims to reduce the risk of damage to healthy cells.
