business ⛽ SIAM pulls back on E20 fuel quality letter
The auto industry body, SIAM, has withdrawn its letter regarding E20 fuel quality concerns after issuing a clarification. This move followed debates sparked by its July 28 communication concerning fuel contamination nationwide. SIAM stated that the reported figures needed further authentication, hence the withdrawal of the earlier communication. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Petroleum noted that only two instances of chloride contamination were found across India. Moving forward, the focus will be on intensified quality control measures as E20 adoption continues. ⛽
