π§ Short workout or nap saves memory after no sleep
A McGill University study found that short workouts or naps protect memory after a sleepless night. Researchers tested 54 healthy young adults at McGill University who stayed awake for 30 consecutive hours. Those who exercised for 20 minutes or napped for 90 minutes scored 22% better on memory tests compared to the control group. Napping seemed to recharge the brain, while exercise helped use existing resources more efficiently. This could inform fatigue management in high-stakes jobs where sleep is scarce. π§
