top ⚖️ SC closes case on NCERT's 'Judiciary Corruption' chapter
The Supreme Court closed its suo motu proceedings regarding the controversial chapter on 'Corruption in Judiciary' in the NCERT Class 8 textbook. This action followed the chapter's subsequent withdrawal from the curriculum. The bench, including CJI Surya Kant, noted that the textbook has been updated with revisions from an expert panel. The Solicitor General confirmed that the new textbooks featuring the revised chapter are currently in circulation.
