Saudi Aramco Ventures invested $9.5 million in Mitti Labs to boost water resilience in Asian rice farming. The New York- and Bengaluru-based startup uses AI and satellite imagery to cut water use and methane emissions across Asia. With this funding, Mitti Labs has now raised a total of $12.5 million. The technology creates digital twins of rice fields, helping farmers reduce water use by about 40% without impacting yields. The company plans to expand to the Philippines this year and Indonesia by 2027. πΎ
