science πͺ Saturn-sized exoplanet has Earth-like temps
A new study revealed that the Saturn-sized exoplanet TOI-199b possesses near-Earth temperatures and a methane atmosphere. This world is located approximately 330 light-years away from Earth. The observations, conducted using the James Webb Space Telescope, were released on May 20, 2026. This marks the first detailed look at the atmosphere of a temperate gas giant, which is a huge scientific step. Future observations are planned to confirm hints of ammonia and carbon dioxide in its composition.
