π Saree saved 21 pilgrims from Nepal flash flood π²
A group of 21 pilgrims from Tamil Nadu narrowly escaped a deadly flash flood in Nepal. They were travelling to Mount Kailash and Mansarovar when a massive wall of water and mud hit them near Syabrubesi. On August 26, the disaster struck the Rasuwa region, leaving hundreds dead and thousands missing. A woman used her saree as a makeshift rope, allowing them to climb a treacherous muddy embankment. Eventually, the survivors reached a police camp and were later evacuated by helicopter back to Chennai.
