πΏ Rock stability check for underground power stations
Researchers studied the rock mass stability within underground caverns of pumped storage power stations. This work was conducted by various teams in Chengdu and Xi'an, China. The study covered data from laboratory tests and numerical simulations published on August 31, 2026. Findings showed that rock mass mechanical parameters significantly impact cavern stability, especially cohesion. This research provides key technical references for designing excavation support.
