Over 45,365 government school buildings in Rajasthan require major repairs, and 611 schools currently operate without any structure. The state government has rolled out a Rs 12,500-crore, three-year infrastructure roadmap covering financial years 2026-27 to 2028-29. This plan allocates funds for 3,587 new buildings and construction of 83,783 new classrooms. Furthermore, major repair work is planned for 22,589 schools, alongside developing digital facilities. The goal is to transform government schools into modern and tech-enabled learning centers.
