A new quantum algorithm tackles the challenge of symmetrization for nonstrictly increasing integer lists (NSILs). This breakthrough was achieved by researchers who expanded prior work to handle lists with repeated integers, essential for simulating bosons. The algorithm achieves a depth of approximately log n for single NSIL inputs, improving on earlier methods. It also features a second algorithm for superposed NSILs with a depth of approximately log³ n. This enables converting between second-quantized and first-quantized states in polylogarithmic time. ⚛️
