Researchers developed high-efficiency multifunctional silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) using a hydrothermal green synthesis method. This was done using the exocarp-mesocarp extract from Lagenaria siceraria sourced from SandΔ±klΔ±, Turkiye. The process yielded highly crystalline, face-centered cubic AgNPs averaging about 25 nm with 98% yield based on AgNOβ. The phytochemicals provided both reducing and capping capabilities for the nanoparticles. These AgNPs show potential for antimicrobial use against E. coli and in advanced electronic applications.
