world ๐ง๏ธ Odisha braces for heavy rains as depression forms
A depression has formed over the Bay of Bengal, leading to heavy to very heavy rainfall across parts of Odisha today. This weather system is located about 180 km from Balasore and is expected to move towards West Bengal, Jharkhand, and Bihar within 24 hours. The India Meteorological Department issued a red warning for Mayurbhanj, Balasore, and Kendrapara districts for today. This fresh rain arrives while many areas are already dealing with waterlogging and rising river levels. Another low-pressure area might form around August 21, triggering more rain on August 22 and 23.
