π³πΏ NZ eases migrant rules, good news for skilled workers
Immigration New Zealand finalized changes to Skilled Migrant Category and work-to-residence visas, effective August 24. These updates are especially beneficial for Punjabi workers in trades and construction across New Zealand. Most applicants now only need to meet their initial wage threshold, not a higher one at application time. A five-month grace period is also introduced if wage thresholds rise before work begins. These changes aim to offer more certainty to migrants already employed in New Zealand.
