Researchers at Dublin City University successfully produced graphene from electronic-waste graphite using everyday items. The team processed graphite heat spreaders, found in phones and laptops, with waste newspaper and tap water. This breakthrough addresses the 62 million tonnes of e-waste generated globally in 2022, where graphite is often overlooked.
