science ๐ญ New study hints at early supermassive black holes
The universe contains mysterious 'little red dots' observed by the James Webb Space Telescope. Researchers from Wuhan University analyzed over 200 of these dots in the COSMOS-Web region. The findings suggest these dots might be evidence of the earliest supermassive black holes, dating back to when the universe was one billion years old. The study found host galaxies of these dots are small, containing around 1 billion stars. This research could be key to understanding how black holes and galaxies co-evolve. ๐
