β‘ New method spots inverter faults in SSSC systems
Researchers presented an advanced fault diagnosis method for identifying open-circuit faults in Three-Level Neutral Point Clamped (NPC) inverters. This study was conducted by various authors from institutions in Algeria, Tunisia, and Saudi Arabia. The research addresses single and 48 potential double switch faults, published on September 19, 2026. The approach extends current-vector trajectory techniques to multilevel NPC structures in FACTS devices. Simulations confirm fast, robust, and real-time detection capabilities for these faults. π§
