π§ͺ New electrode tech tackles calcium issue for H2O2 synthesis
Researchers found that calcium scaling, usually a problem, actually boosts H2O2 electroproduction in natural water. The team developed a surfactant-modified cathode and a 3D sponge-fenced architecture to manage this effect. These strategies enhanced H2O2 yield by 2.3-fold and 293.3%, respectively. This research provides a solid new model for designing electrodes that handle calcium. This approach is promising for making efficient H2O2 synthesis in real-world settings.
