π¬ New blood test spots early pancreatic cancer
Researchers have developed a novel gene-expression blood test capable of detecting nine out of ten cases of early-stage pancreatic cancer. This breakthrough was achieved by a team working at a leading research institute in the US. The test demonstrated high accuracy in preliminary trials conducted over the last year. Early pancreatic cancer is notoriously hard to catch, leading to poor survival rates for patients. Further clinical trials are now planned to validate the test's effectiveness across larger populations.
