A massive flash flood in Nepal's Bhote Koshi-Trishuli river basin caused widespread destruction across several districts. Nepal Prime Minister Balendra Shah inspected the worst-affected areas, including Nuwakot, to ensure speedy relief. As of Thursday, the flood death toll reached 389, with 290 Indian nationals stranded in the region. India has dispatched 47.5 tonnes of relief material to aid the ongoing rescue efforts. The government of Uttar Pradesh has also deployed forces to assist in the crisis response.
