๐ฆ Neanderthals possibly hit deep Saudi Arabia ๐ฎ
A new study suggests Neanderthals might have traveled deep into the Arabian Peninsula around 55,000 years ago. Researchers examined stone tools found at Jebel Katefeh 1, a lakeside site near Jubbah in the Nefud Desert, Saudi Arabia. The tools were dated to approximately 55,000 years ago, a period when the desert had wetter conditions. This challenges old ideas by showing Neanderthals were more adaptable and widely mobile than thought. The findings suggest these ancient relatives explored vast, changing landscapes.
