science π°οΈ NASA sends trio of self-driving rovers to Moon
NASA is launching the CADRE project, which involves sending three autonomous rovers to the Moon for the first time. These rovers will operate in the Reiner Gamma region, managed by teams at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory. The mission is scheduled to last about 14 Earth days, commencing soon. Instead of constant remote control, the rovers decide on routes and tasks themselves after receiving a general goal. Successful tests could pave the way for future lunar bases and resource scouting. π
