Mumbai is upgrading its infrastructure with four new overbridges running from Dadar to Ghatkopar to tackle city congestion. These projects, managed by BMC and MRIDC, involve an investment of around Rs 1,179 crore. The new bridges are scheduled to be finished in phases over the next two years, starting with the Elphinstone Bridge by November 2026. Other key upgrades include a 6-lane replacement at Dadar and a new cable-stayed bridge in Ghatkopar. This massive overhaul aims to boost east-west connectivity across the busy metropolis.
