business ๐ฅ Mumbai buffalo milk prices jump starting Sept 1 ๐ฅ
Buffalo milk prices are increasing across Mumbai starting September 1st, impacting daily household spending. The Bombay Milk Producersโ Association has raised wholesale rates by Rs 9, pushing retail prices to Rs 110-112 per litre depending on the location. This hike is due to rising input costs for feed, fuel, and labour, with production now costing Rs 98 per litre. The wholesale revision, from Rs 93 to Rs 102 a litre, will be active until February 28, 2027. Consumers are concerned about the added financial strain, especially alongside rising sugar prices.
