business ✈️ Middle East issues hit Indian flights hard
The prolonged Middle East conflict is impacting India's aviation network, with flight operations declining at five of the six major metro airports. Chennai and Hyderabad were the worst affected, seeing nearly 20 per cent drops in operations during June and July. Despite this, Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi managed to increase flight operations by 8 per cent in June. Airlines are dealing with airspace restrictions and weakened demand from overseas travel, causing some service reductions. Looking ahead, the sector shows varied recovery as Delhi stands out from the rest of the hubs. ✈️
