๐ฟ Maryland launches biggest human composting facility
Maryland has opened the nation's largest human composting facility in Elkridge, operated by Earth Funeral. This facility utilizes natural organic reduction as an alternative to traditional burial and cremation methods. The process involves decomposing remains in a controlled environment over about a month, yielding approximately 300 pounds of soil. This new option addresses growing environmental concerns regarding the resource use of conventional funeral practices. The resulting soil can then be returned to the family or used in land-conservation projects.
