🚧 Man fixes Hyderabad potholes for 15 years
A retired railway engineer took on the role of Hyderabad’s “Road Doctor” after seeing a dangerous pothole accident. Gangadhar Tilak Katnam dedicated 15 years to fixing over 2,000 potholes across Hyderabad. He funded this massive effort using his ₹23,000 pension, personal savings, and scrap materials. He later started Shramadaan, turning his solo effort into a community movement with volunteers. Now, even the municipality provides road-repair material to support his ongoing mission.
